About the event
Description:
Sitting in a kayak, floating on the lake, we breathe in and tune into the senses, exhale and let go. Watching the ripples on the water, we come to center, and allow thoughts to float by like clouds in the sky.
Join Jen Rehill for a special Sunday afternoon of mindfulness, meditation and kayaking or paddle boarding at Nockamixon State Park. We’ll meet at the Haycock Boat Launch and begin on land with gentle stretching and a breathwork. From there we’ll take our boats and paddle boards out on the water and head north into Haycock Creek for a special guided meditation on the water. We’ll paddle back in silence, allowing the experience to land, and conclude with a final circle on the shore before we part ways.
This experience is appropriate for all levels - some experience paddling will be helpful. Bring your own boat or paddle board. A limited amount of kayaks are available from Kula, reserve early or rentals available near the Lake for $40 per day.
Don't forget your Life Jacket is required on the Lake!
Dress with the expectation you may get wet. Bring only what you need and protect your valuables in waterproof bags tied to your person.
Kayak rentals:
Nature's Way Canoe & Kayak near the lake has rentals in September. It's $40 for the day to rent a kayak. You can reserve your own boat, and the outfitter will load it on their car with blocks, etc to go to the park. It's all included in the fee.
Kula Heart has 3 Pelican Fishing Kayaks that are also available to rent. See KH Kayak included Ticket when registering.
