About the event

Why relax to the sounds of Crystal Singing Bowls?

We are 70-80 % water and are constantly in motion, vibrating beings.  The vibration of sound instruments sends a positive energy and frequency beneficial to our bodies.

Benefits of sound therapy may provide a decrease in stress, greater relaxation to your day, enhance your meditation or massage therapy experience.

Why does it work you may ask?

Our nervous system is overstimulated with....take a guess. LIFE.  Cell phones, constant data pouring into our brains, never ending to do lists, aggressive driving, caregiving and so much more.  It takes A LOT to move into a state of healing and rest (parasympathetic nervous system).  Then add if you are not getting enough sleep. YIKES!

Join us for a One Hour Sound Bath.

Clothing Required.

Pajamas accepted.

Mats, bolsters, blankets, and chairs will be offered for your comfort.

You may want to bring an eye pillow, your own props or blankets.

To provide comfort for all; phones will need to be off, no mouth noises (gum chewing etc.), coughing consider laying on your side.

Arrive 15 minutes early to prep your area.

Details from Kathy Hatcher Sound Therapist-

Our bodies are made up of energetic centers (chakras) that affect both our physical and emotional health. Crystal singing bowls work with the body through the vibrations emitted from the different-sized singing bowls which each correspond to a specific chakra, or energy center, of the body. How does it work? During a singing bowl session, the bowls are struck with a mallet that is then softly dragged around the perimeter to continue emitting the frequencies that cause the bowl to “sing”. The bowls are played in various diverse sequences to assist your body in addressing any stored or blocked energy that needs to be released to restore and clear the energy pathways located at the base of your spine (your root chakra) to the top of your head (your crown chakra).

During a sound healing session the recipient is reclining on a yoga mat  or sitting in a comfortable chair in a meditative state to allow the body to relax and absorb the vibrational energy – both physically and energetically. As the energy centers and corresponding body organs receive the vibrations, sensations are detected throughout the body during a session. There are a myriad of responses experienced by the body ranging from heat/cold, tingling/buzzing, deep relaxation, to emotional responses such as laughing, crying, euphoria, deep sense of calm, etc. The body will intuitively receive what is needed at the time of the treatment session.

  • Side Note:  "However, some people may not get on well with sound baths. This includes those who: find intense sounds stressful or overstimulating, have migraines with noise triggers and have hearing aids, as the sounds may be uncomfortable." Medical News Today.
